Overview
O’Rourke Contracting worked alongside ISG on the £19m redevelopment of Sainsbury’s, Thanet. The works included the reconstruction/ extension of the existing car park as well as an underground car park.

This project had an accelerated programme to meet clients date requirements which we supported through flexible working hours and night work. Working on the underground car park posed issues in terms of height restrictions and meant that alternative plant and machinery had to be used. It was also important to keep disruption to traffic and residents of the surrounding areas to a minimum.
